Efdemin takes over the basement floor at Deeper Galway this Friday Jul 24th for a night of US/Techno/House. Voted RA’s top producer of 2007, Efdemin released his self-titled album 2 years ago on Dial and it received the RA 2nd best album of the year amongst rave reviews. Efdemin himself is noted as one of the best underground DJs in the world, having coming 6th in the RA Top DJs 2007 poll and his RA Podcast being a fine example of how to do it right. For some, the fact that Efdemin is resident at the ever-hallowed German venue the Panorama Bar is enough said as regards his ability to select and mix house music. His 2008 mix CD “Carry On, Pretend We’re Not in the Room” captures the effortless sense of panorama that oozes from one of his sets, an astounding mix that takes you from the deep house of Patrice Scott to the tribal techno of Dettmann & Klock to Photek’s barely-there, sci-fi house monster “T’Raenon“. Support on the night comes from LowerState’s Ruari, fresh from eclectic sets at Sonar and Oxegen festivals.
