  10. Eoin Says:

Daso - La Fée Verte is there too, around 1h57m in.

Great stuff Rory by the way. You coming up for Matthew Dear on Sunday?

  11. roryd Says:

Just spotted Juan MacLean - Happy House [DFA] too, right before C2.

“nice long mix with some chinstrokingly deadly techno is what you’re after”

Good tunes, but as far as the mix goes pretty shoddy. Someone who’s been around music for so long should really have worked out the basics by now. Especially as cdjs make it so simple.
Don’t mean to be unkind but if you were out for a dance to that it would get a bit frustrating, what with all the clunky transitions? Or am I just old fashioned?

  13. roryd Says:

Good point, although the Donal Dineen experience isn’t really about mixing. It’s about tune selection through mountains of vinyl, presence and how he interacts with the crowd. There’s always a few John McClains though who need the mixing to be spot on to enjoy themselves, and that’s cool too.

  14. Rory Says:

I had a chat with a few mates about this, and the general reaction was:

DD plays unbelievable records. The man is a legend. Full stop.

    :)

  15. Medalla Says:

Recently rediscovered that Juan MacLean - Happy House track and couldnt remember where I had heard it first… so I though who would be cool enough to play that? Who else :)
